Process

Evaluation framework

How marks are awarded, consolidated and reported across grade bands.

01

Continuous & Periodic Assessment

Classes III to XII follow CBSE's continuous assessment pattern. Two periodic tests, one half-yearly and one annual examination form the written assessment spine. Each test is preceded by a published syllabus circular and an answer key is shared after evaluation.

02

Foundation Years (Nursery – II)

Children in the foundation years are assessed through observation, anecdotal records and skill-based activities. We do not conduct formal written exams in these grades. Term-end portfolios summarise progress in literacy, numeracy, physical, creative and socio-emotional domains.

03

Internal & Practical Components

Subjects with practical components — Science (IX–XII), Computer Applications, Information Practices, Physical Education and Art Education — carry their own internal assessment as prescribed by CBSE. Practical files, projects and viva-voce contribute to the final grade alongside the written paper.

04

Grading Scheme

Classes IX–XII follow the 9-point grading scale published by CBSE (A1 to E). Classes III–VIII follow a 5-point scale (A to E) derived from total marks scored across periodic, half-yearly and annual components.

05

Re-evaluation & Verification

Parents may request a re-check of an answer script within 7 working days of result publication via the ERP grievance form. For board examinations, all re-evaluation and verification requests are routed directly through the CBSE portal.

06

Promotion Policy

A student must secure 33% aggregate in each subject (including internal assessment) and meet the school's attendance threshold to be promoted. The Examination Committee reviews borderline cases on a per-student basis at the end of each session.

For copies of past papers or sample materials, visit the school library or the ERP resources tab.
